Within one hour's drive you can be in easy reach of some of Iceland´s most exciting natural landscapes.
To the south is Lake Mývatn with its incredibly diverse landscapes and rich birdlife. Here you can hike up volcanic craters, meander around unusual lava fields, and visit bubbling sulphur pools.
To the east is the beautiful canyon of Jökulsárgljúfur with a vast array of geological wonders, including the whispering rocks of Hljóðaklettar, the footprint of Odin´s eight legged horse, Sleipnir, and Europe´s most powerful waterfall, Dettifoss.
